ALS Con-Tel III LITE is a domiciliary HUB realized by H&S for VitalAire. It is equipped with advanced functionalities of telemonitoring in order to grant patients domiciliary assistance. The device executes a periodical gathering of data related to the parameters employed to scrutinize the clinical condition of the patient and to promptly detect trends that move away from the therapeutic scheme; the device is also used to modify a therapeutic scheme and/or to find out in advance the development of complications.
This device is exclusively intended as a diagnostic and auxiliary tool for the patients clinical evaluation: it is neither a lifesaver nor a monitor, instead it is an events/data recorder enabled to transfer the events/data from the patient site to a dedicated Web portal (ALS Gate) through a GPRS radio connection, which develops and archives data making them accessible to the medical personnel who cares for the patient. Using the device is simple and intuitive, and by pressing certain buttons the user can:
- collect and record the values related to the heartbeats and the percentage of blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) in an accurate and noninvasive way.
- gather clinical data from other two different medical devices connected (Freelox nitrogen tank and flowmeter)
- receive notices and information
- deliver personalized clinical questionnaire.
In other words, the system ALS Con-Tel III LITE and ALS Gate:
- grants an innovative and simple service of telemonitoring.
- improves the quality of the care provided to the patients.
- enables a better coordinated management of the administrative and clinical activities.
- optimizes the qualified transfer of information.
